Volunteer Position:  Friend for Regular Visits (Facility-Based)

Location:  Phoenix Area, Arizona

 

Build a meaningful friendship with a senior through weekly in-person visits and check-in phone calls. Activities may include conversation, board games, reading, shared meals, and celebrating special occasions.

Requirements

• 18+ years old

• Volunteer individually or as a couple

• Reliable transportation

• 1-year commitment

• Weekly 1.5-hour visit + weekly phone call

• Background check*

Location:  Phoenix Area, Arizona

 

Provide short-term support to seniors while their loved ones are temporarily unavailable. Offer companionship through regular visits and weekly phone calls. Activities may include conversation, board games, reading, shared meals, and celebrating special occasions.

• Volunteer solo or as a parent/child or couple

• Reliable transportation

• 1-year commitment

• Visit regularly during designated timeframe + weekly phone call

• Background check*

• Completion of initial training

Location:  Phoenix Area, Arizona

 

Offer compassionate presence to seniors and their families during illness or end-of-life care. Visits may include conversation, quiet companionship, reading, or prayer. This role requires emotional strength and sensitivity.
