MYFRIEND
MyFriend is an Arizona-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by mother and daughter Sharon and Sarah Stewart. Our mission is to ease social isolation and loneliness among older adults through meaningful, one-on-one companionship and a caring presence during seasons when connection may be needed most. Rooted in Christian values, we seek to love and serve others as Jesus taught—with compassion, humility, and a heart that puts others first. We welcome and serve older adults from all backgrounds and beliefs, meeting each person with kindness, dignity, and respect.

FOUNDERS
Meet Sharon and Sarah, the mother-daughter team behind MyFriend. Called by God to step away from careers unrelated to senior care, we embarked on a journey to serve older adults and carry forward a family legacy of faith, compassion, and putting others first. In our first year, we personally spent more than 550 hours visiting seniors, building friendships, and learning firsthand about the challenges of aging and the profound difference meaningful companionship can make. What began as a calling has become a shared mission to build a lasting legacy of love and service, one friendship at a time.

FAITH
MyFriend is a Christian organization, and our faith is the foundation for why and how we serve. We believe our faith should be visible in the way we live and love - through humility, compassion, integrity, and a willingness to put the needs of others before our own.
At the heart of our work is a simple desire: to love God, love people, and faithfully serve those He places before us - not merely with words, but through our actions and in truth.
While our Christian faith guides our organization and our service, we are honored to serve seniors of all backgrounds and beliefs.

OUR
VISION
Our vision is for fewer seniors to face loneliness alone. We hope to build a growing community of volunteers, churches, organizations, senior care communities, and medical and health professionals working together to recognize loneliness, identify seniors who may be struggling in isolation, and connect them with meaningful friendship and support.
Beginning in our local communities, we hope to expand MyFriend throughout Arizona and, one day, across the United States—creating opportunities for more people to step forward and serve, and for more seniors to experience the joy and belonging that come through genuine human connection.
At its heart, our vision is simple: to love others well, bring people together, and build communities where seniors are seen, remembered, and never forgotten.
THE PRICELESS GIFT OF
FRIENDSHIP
Each senior enrolled in our six-month companion program receives an estimated $1,252 in donated volunteer services, provided at no charge to the senior. Your generosity makes these meaningful friendships possible. One-time and recurring donations help cover the direct costs of our program, allowing us to recruit, train, and support volunteers while bringing consistent companionship to more seniors in our community.
