PARTNERS IN

COMMUNITY

Addressing social isolation and loneliness takes a community. MyFriend welcomes relationships with senior care providers, healthcare professionals, churches, nonprofits, and other local organizations that share a desire to support older adults and their families.

Through these partnerships, we hope to build a stronger network of support—helping identify older adults who may benefit from meaningful companionship and connecting seniors and families with other trusted community resources when their needs fall outside the services we provide.

When MyFriend is unable to serve someone due to location, volunteer availability, eligibility, or another need outside the scope of our program, we want to be able to point them toward organizations and resources that may be able to help.

If your organization serves older adults and you’re interested in becoming a community partner or referral resource, we’d love to learn more about what you do and explore how we can support one another in serving our community

A GROWING

POPULATION

The Arizona State Plan on Aging for 2027–2028 projects that the state's population aged 60 and older will grow from approximately 1.8 million in 2023 to 2.6 million by 2050—a 46% increase.

As this population grows, so will the demand for senior living accommodations, medical services, caregiving assistance, transportation, social programs, and other resources that help older adults maintain their quality of life.

The challenge isn't simply preparing for more older adults. It's ensuring that the services, relationships, and support systems they depend on can grow alongside them.

THE PRICELESS GIFT OF

FRIENDSHIP

Each senior enrolled in our six-month companion program receives an estimated $1,252 in donated volunteer services, provided at no charge to the senior. Your generosity makes these meaningful friendships possible. One-time and recurring donations help cover the direct costs of our program, allowing us to recruit, train, and support volunteers while bringing consistent companionship to more seniors in our community.

Flexible Giving: Make a one-time gift or become a recurring supporter.

Tax-Deductible: Your donations are tax-deductible.

Direct Impact: Donations help cover the direct costs of providing meaningful companionship to seniors.

Volunteer-Led: Our founders and companions serve without compensation, helping maximize the impact of every donation.

COURTNEY N. | GOOGLE REVIEW

Healthcare, mental health, social service, and other professionals are often among the first to recognize when an older adult may be experiencing social isolation or loneliness. If you are working with an older adult who you believe could benefit from our free Friends of the Family companion program, we welcome you to submit a referral for our team to review.
